The Data Services group offers firms, associations, and other organizations expertise in and assistance with data collection, assimilation, analysis, and reporting to meet a variety of business needs.

Areas of Expertise

Independent Data Collection and Analysis
The Data Services group provides confidential data collection and analysis services to organizations such as trade associations, purchasing consortia, and other coalitions to assist in projects needing a third party to handle highly sensitive competitive data. We work with these organizations to produce the end products needed to make critical business decisions, including RFP evaluation and recommendation, price benchmarking analysis, reverse auction management, and market basket collection and analysis.

Survey Production, Administration, and Analysis
GES has a long history of conducting global, national, and regional surveys of all types. The Data Services group works with trade associations, coalitions, and other organizations seeking data and other information on the status of the industries they represent. A full array of survey services include survey design, administration, data collection, data analysis, and report production.

Trade and Industry Statistics
The Data Services group produces a wide variety of trade and industry statistics. Our team has a wealth of experience in tracking and monitoring U.S. trade flows and industry data and producing informative reports customized to suit client needs.

World Trade Flow Reports
Our World Trade Flow Reports track international trade in any product or group of products that may be of interest to a manufacturer or an industry. These reports measure industry-specific foreign trade and trade balance statistics for individual countries around the world. In addition, GES World Trade Flow Reports allow manufacturers to spot growing global markets and to track changes in the level and composition of imports and exports in foreign markets.

Experience

  • Produce 50+ customized reports tracking trade flows and other vital statistics on a monthly and/or quarterly basis for a wide variety of industries.
  • Design, administer and produce global, national, and regional surveys meeting the needs of decision-makers, in the private sector, for public reporting and communication, or to meet government mandates.
  • Provide independent third-party data collection and analysis for trade associations, consortia, industry coalitions, and task forces.
  • Develop World Trade Flow Reports, such as one in which “reverse trade” import and export data from China was developed. In this report, true Chinese trade surpluses with the U.S. and other world markets were identified and calculated, based on the trade data of 54 of China’s major trading partners.
